The Holidays I: Dress Your Best

Believe it or not, the holidays are upon us. The days of sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace, watching marathons of Christmas movies (Home Alone anyone?) and best of all spending time with family and friends (although eating (a lot of) good food comes in a very close second). So, to start out the holidays I thought I would begin by discussing holiday dresses. Dresses do not come in petites unless noted, but a smaller size and a little hem could work in most cases.

If you haven't noticed, I love red around the holiday season and this is no exception. This dress could be made extra special with accessories.

Splurge Vs Save: Quilted Vests

One of the items on my Christmas list as you may have read, is the Jcrew Excursion vest. Vests are practical, yet fashionable and are a great layering piece during the fall and winter months. 

I love love love this vest, but it's a little bit pricey at $120.

But then, after some research I discovered this vest!

Old Navy Quilted barn Vest

It's an almost exact lookalike for $40. $75 cheaper than the Jcrew vest! I've been asking for either one of these vests for a while now. Crossing my fingers that one of them will be under my Christmas tree....
