The Kennedys

I'm so sorry guys for not posting in a while. With club volleyball starting and a stressful week of school, I'm so glad I have a three day weekend this week to rest and recuperate. Thank god for parent teacher conferences!
Since the 50th anniversary of JFK's assasination is tomorrow, I thought I would dedicate a post to the legendary John and Jacqueline Kennedy. "America's royalty"

"I knew right away that Jackie was different from all the other girls Jack had been dating. She was more intelligent, more literary, more substantial... They were kindred souls Jack and Jackie, two halves of the same whole" -Ken Lemoyne Billings

 September 12, 1953
John Fitzgerald Kennedy marries Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy
Their wedding was the social event of 1953. Everyone who was anyone attended and there were 1,200 guests in all. It was treated almost like a political event by the Kennedys. Everything was planned out to a T.

The Kennedys had four children: Caroline, John Jr., Arabella and Patrick. Sadly, Arabella and Patrick passed away during or before infancy. Jackie was intensely private about her children's lives. They did not receive much media attention during childhood as a result of this.

Jackie was beautiful. She is and forever will be a style icon. Jackie embodied grace and elegance. It was said that she could maintain the interest of six men at once by making each man think they were the center of her attention. In the aftermath of her husband's assassination, Jackie stunned the world with her strength and quiet dignity.

What do you think of the Kennedys?

With love,
Samantha
